The Alertness Testbed offers a multi-parametric approach for alertness and fatigue assessment. It is typically used in laboratory overnight studies with sleep deprivation protocols, as well as in workplace and other field studies.
Testbed Components:
- Electrophysiological (EEG/EOG) recordings for microsleep/sleep scoring (SomnoScreen)
- Video recordings for assessment of eye parameters and behavioral sleepiness signs (time-synchronised integration with EEG system)
- Performance tests (e.g., PVT, four-choice reaction time test)
- Driving simulation (STSIM)
- Ocular test for measuring pupil parameters and eye motility (FIT)
- Actigraphy for sleep-wake pattern recording
